When WebM format for YouTube Videos

All new videos uploaded to YouTube is encoded in the open format Webm, says Google.
Flash has long been a thorn in the side of open source enthusiasts. Virtually all streaming media on the Internet has required the propritära software but now we can see an end to it.
Google announces that all new videos uploaded to YouTube now encoded in the open format Webm. New browser from Firefox, Google and Opera have built-in support for Webm making Flash superfluous.
Internet Explorer and Apple’s Safari Web browser supports Web, but so far only by a plugin to be installed separately.
All films are on Youtube, however, not converted to the new format. Google says that about 30 percent of all material on YouTube has been converted to Webm.
