According to the WSJ, Apple has launched the production of the second version of the iPad, thinner, lighter but more powerful. The selling price should remain the same.
The iPad 2 – return of the iPad in new powerful format. According to “sources familiar with the matter, Apple has already begun to launch production of the second version of the iPad”, reveals Wall Street Journal. The first version of iPad has sold at least 14.8 million units worldwide since its release in less than a year.
Thinner and lighter than the first version, the iPad 2 includes a front camera dedicated to video conferencing, the tool used by FaceTime house, already accessible from the iPhone and iPod Touch, and a faster processor, powerful dual core Samsung A5, clocked at 1GHz.
The latest rumors are Apple’s new tablet should also have a graphics processor and optimized with a capacity of storing more than the first model.
Nevertheless, the Cupertino company has decided to keep its iPad 2 the same display resolution as the first draft.
Distributed by AT & T and Verizon in the U.S., the Wall Street Journal understands that the sale price of this new tablet should match those of the first iPad including the new fee for private copying.
Apple does not count to fall behind on the booming market of touch pads. Having launched the movement in the spring of 2010 with its new iPad, the Cupertino company is now faced with the arrival of a plethora of competitors: Samsung, HP, Dell, RIM, Lenovo, LG, Toshiba, Asus, Acer or Motorola.
After the launch of iPad, the production of iPad3 will be started, revealed by trusted sources.
